ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a Chicago-based fine-art photographer who records the world within which we live. Focusing on the natural contrasts between humanity and nature, my images are a poignant reflection of the patterns, colors, and lines that we imprint upon the planet every day.
Although I call Chicago 'home', I was born and raised in Winnipeg (on the Canadian prairies). Visiting his grand-parents' farm as I grew up, I first developed my passion for the earth and the need for its preservation. Later, after earning my bachelor degree in Philosophy, I moved out West to Vancouver where the beautiful and rugged coastlines brought a renewed sense of awe and inspiration for the land and its people. In 1998, my nomadic spirit was re-kindled and I found myself in small truck driving across America on my way to a new and current home, Chicago. In 2005, I proudly took the oath of citizenship and am now an American citizen.
Drawing on my background in seminary and my love for the environment, I seek out the beauty of the world, finding color, hope, and life in the everyday. This passion is seen through my images of people, of nature, and of society; exploring "Where Human and Nature Meet."

Artist's Statement
I am a fine-art photographer that adds the human form within the natural world as the primary element of the image. The images I shoot are artistic in nature, designed to highlight and explore form, keeping in line with my approach of discovering the human form within the context of patterns, colors, and lines drawn by the man-made world.
I believe strongly in recording our wonderful and awe-inspiring world while it is available to us. Let each photograph serve as a reminder that we are here for only a moment; we belong to the Earth, it does not belong to us.
